Amazing Fantasy #15 "Marvel Milestone Edition" Comic Stan Lee Books Reviews

  • Collects the first appearance of Spider-Man in Amazing Fantasy 15 as well as the next 9 issues in his book. Artwork by Steve Ditko is different than many other marvel works as many of them were drawn by Jack Kirby.

Be prepared for that classic quirky 60's lingo where MJ (Mary Jane) called guys affectionately "tiger" and Flash was a "BMOC" big man on campus.

Has lots mainstay villains here. Sandman, doc ock, lizard man and the classic origin inside. Might compare the 60's origin to the movie version.

See the origin and early issues and see how closely the movies/cartoons were to the original. I admit I prefer the comics. These collections give the average person a chance to read. To read these as originals you would have to pay quite a bit or have a rich friend.

The Barnes and Noble editions are even less as they aren't hardbacks.

Enclosing pic of back cover on book showing covers of the comics collected within. Of course the pic of the first one is the front cover. 😉
  • I am a Stan Lee era Spider-Man fan. I would highly recommend this. It is the very first Spider-Man story from the Silver Age with a bonus story from Amazing Spider-Man #1.
  • Getting in on the ground floor of Spiderman mythos is a great way to spend some time. These early stories show just how great the Stan Lee and Steve Ditko stories really were. They built a legend around a young teen with super powers, a feat not matched by anyone at that time. A good book for those who love early Spiderman.
  • I Got What I Wanted In My Friendly Neighborhood
  • Loved the Origen story
  • Spider man definitely seems kind of bratty at first and less heroic. Very interesting to read though. I recommend reading.
  • This was so nostalgic. Loved it. Going to keep reading. Spider-Man is great for all ages. With great power comes great responsibility.
  • I love that it contains all of the original comic stories of Spider-Man. It's in really good condition.
