"Whoa, I don’t know what I expected with this book, but what I just read blew me away. This is not an easy story, in fact this is pretty freaking dark about two people that cared for each other but were in situations that would put Romeo and Juliet to shame.
Brandon is a Bad@ss Native American that grew up confused about why his father took him and left their reservation and moved him to a town in which everyone saw them as outsiders. He grew up being bullied and having to hide his frustration and confusion–because no one tells this guy ANYTHING!
Dixie is sweet but sassy Southern girl. Her loyalty is one of her biggest strengths, but also her biggest downfall.
GEEZ, this plot blew my freaking mind! Clarissa Wild, I am so freaking impressed. Pretty sure my mouth dropped several times while reading this book. The story line takes place in the present but has several flashbacks to the past and concentrating on what happened then and how it shaped both Brandon and Dixie now. There are HUGE twists in this story and it is freaking dark and dirty all while not feeling TOO dirty, if that makes sense. There is definitely a darkness in this story, but it was delivered in a freaking fantastic way.
All in all, I highly recommend reading this book if your reading preferences tend to lean on the darker side of romance and want a bit of a twisted book.

When he tries to stop an emergency he runs into none other than the girl from his past and family enemy Dixie Burell! What will he do when faced with the decision to stay loyal to his family or the girl from his past? They met as children..began a friendship.. then the actions of their families made them enemies. When they finally learn the truth what will they do? Clarissa knows how to write a dark romance and this one is no exception! I loved the back and forth with Brandon & Dixie! This book goes from past to present so you get the whole back story also. Oh and love the cameo from Chase! ;) Told in dual POV.

Clarissa Wild is back on the writing scene with a brand new romance y'all... one that is guaranteed to leave you glued to the pages right from the very start until they stop turning. Branded was totally different and boundary pushing in a bunch of ways but dang if Clarissa doesn't kill it, literally and figuratively, every single time.
With your heart in your throat the entire freaking story and racing through their crazy journey, Wild took me on a thrilling ride in Branded... one that was twisted, intense, suspenseful, dark, dirty, haunting in moments, and so dang brilliant in a whole lot of unforgettable ways.
This book y'all, not what I expected at all from Clarissa, a little different and a whole lot of twisted... but welcomed all the same. If you like your books darker, dirtier, and toeing the line with all your boundaries then this is an author you must definitely read.
I highly recommend this book. - What to say that this Branded tale was so good!!!!!!! Soon i started it i could not put it down,the characters pulled me in their journey and both left me breathless until the end ,i kept turning and turning the page to see how it all will play out for them as Brandon and Dixie with others personages included ,everyone play their role way good..i'm not gonna say much cause you have to read this storyline,suspense,a childhood know each either,a meet after been apart(past /present),the goal of what, how, why, happen...the turn/twist that happen,add the prologue and more more is into this book so what are you waiting for grab it and start this a new enemies-to-lovers Dark Romance from author Clarissa Wild where she delivered every time and do not disappoint and for me she never does in any of her work ...I'm so hooked with her books ...So i can't wait to see the next next next installment cause i always craved for them/books.... received an ARC of this book

Ohhh, this one did my head in.
It really did.
The story hooked me from the first page. I NEEDED to know what was going and kept turning the pages to see how everything unfolded. But, man, Dixie and Brandon gave me a run for my money (or sanity). Their turbulent (total understatement) relationship had me wanting to toss the # into the freezer, even as I couldn’t wait to see them get their HEA. It was dark, dirty and heart breaking, but it was addictive.
Brandon and Dixie tried me. HARD. I cannot remember a couple of characters who drove me this nuts...together. True, there have been characters that drove me bsc recently, but it’s been awhile since it’s been the main couple together. Their saving grace, though, was the fact that when they weren’t doing my head in, I found them quite fascinating. Neither had easy lives, some of their struggles were seen, others not so much, but they ended up surviving ~ maybe not in the way most would expect, but they did. As for their extreme friends to enemies to lovers journey, it was intense as they battled it out in more ways than one and I had a 50/50 split going on whether or not they would end up killing each other in the end. But, this does have an HEA and where they both end up is exactly where they were always meant to be.
This book was a roller coaster of a ride for me, but it was one I didn’t want to get off of. The characters were as complex as the twists and turns throughout the story and I enjoyed watching as everything unravelled and came back together again. This one can be read as a standalone, but I think that you’ll want to read Chased if you haven’t already, since Chase does make an appearance. As for the characters we meet in this one, there were very few that I liked, but Matteo definitely peaked my interest and I’m hoping we’ll see more of him at some point in the future.
